White Bean Stew Recipe – a traditional dish that a large part of Balkan people put on the table very often. Varieties range from bean soup, bean stew and the options are many, so you will choose the one you like the most.
White Bean Stew Recipe
Today we have prepared for you a wonderful, time-tested white bean stew recipe, which you can prepare for lunch or evening dish.
Ingredients
- 400 g old beans;
- 1 head onion;
- 1 red pepper;
- 1 red hot pepper;
- 150 g of grated tomatoes;
- 1 carrot;
- that;
- 1 tbsp. paprika (equal);
- spearmint;
- 100 ml. vegetable fat;
- 2 tsp flour.
Directions
Boil the beans until done, changing the boiling water 1 or 2 times. Add the finely chopped onion, red pepper, hot pepper and carrot to the cooked beans. Boil for 5-7 minutes and add the tomatoes. Cook for another 10 minutes and add salt to taste and chives. Boil the carrots until they are well softened.
Heat the fat in a separate pan and fry the red pepper and flour for 30 seconds, being careful not to blacken them. With the help of a ladle, remove the beans and vegetables from the broth in which they were boiling and add a little to the broth.
Put 2-3 ladles of broth. Then, stirring continuously, add the broth to the beans. Cook for another five minutes and remove from heat. Serve the bean stew warm with homemade bread.
