Today we we’ll present a Beef Goulash Recipe. This recipe for goulash is a national Hungarian dish that has become popular all over the world. This dish made from tender veal meat may seem complicated to prepare because the name slightly “scares” those who have not made it before, but in fact it is not. If you combine the right spices in the right amount, you will get an incredibly delicious goulash that you will want to make again and again.
Beef Goulash Recipe
Of course, quality products are a must. Fresh and fresh veal, if possible from a young calf and good red wine – this is the most important thing if you want the end result to be really impressive. It can also be made with white wine
Ingredients
- 700-800 g of beef;
- 2 heads of onion;
- 1 carrot;
- 3 potatoes;
- 150 ml. Red wine;
- 200 g of tomato sauce;
- 2 bay leaves;
- 2 tsp Cherven Piper;
- pepper;
- salt;
- beef broth;
- 100 ml. vegetable fat.
How to make beef goulash
Boil the beef in salted water until done. Put the oil in a suitable pot and heat it. Add the pre-chopped onion and fry it for about 4-5 minutes on medium heat.
Add the finely chopped carrot to it and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Add the finely chopped beef and the tomato sauce and cook for 5-6 minutes.
Add the red wine and red pepper and cook for 10 minutes to evaporate all the alcohol from the wine. Add 1.5-2 liters of beef broth and salt to taste.
Next, add the potatoes and bay leaves. Cook until the potatoes are done. Before removing the dish from the heat, season with black pepper. Serve the goulash warm if possible with homemade bread and pickles. Your Beef Goulash Recipe is ready.
Enjoy!
This beef goulash recipe can also be prepared with a ready-made jar of beef, but again, it is good to boil it a little.
